Highlights
Top of mind priorities for healthcare providers are to decrease costs, maintain regulatory compliance and improve services and stakeholder satisfaction. The most important IT spending priority for 2007 is investments in electronic health records (EHRs), an indication that providers consider EHRs key to improving healthcare services. Although a significant portion of healthcare providers interviewed noted that their IT budgets will remain flat, 42% of surveyed providers responded that their IT budgets would increase.
